Dr. Singh holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a specialization in Developmental Psychology from University of Calgary, Canada, and almost 25 years post-secondary teaching experience since then. Having taught at University of Calgary, Mount Royal University, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, and DeVry University, in Calgary, Canada, and the US, she has a keen appreciation for, the strengths of, and challenges for, local and international students; thus, is always eager to make a positive difference in students’ lives. She has taught a variety of courses, among which she has special fondness for Psychology, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Computers in Education and Business, Motivation and Leadership, and Organizational Psychology. Dr. Singh has published many journal articles and presented at multiple conferences in areas such as computers in education and business, leadership, change management, and employee empowerment. She believes strongly in creating authentic learning environments that are interactive, holistic, innovative, and practical, where learning is about constructing reality, has to be owned by students, and is about transforming one’s mental models. She is teaching ‘Critical Thinking and Writing’ at the National Rail and Transportation Institute.
Dr. Fenn is a Cognitive Psychologist with a Ph.D. from IIT Bombay. He taught for almost a decade at XLRI, Jamshedpur, during which time he also served as the Coordinator of the Organizational Behavior Area. He has lectured in several institutions both within India and abroad. He taught the first psychology course at IIT Gandhinagar. At the American University of Armenia, he taught Leadership and he also designed and taught the advanced course on Leadership. He has designed and taught a wide range of courses in behavioral sciences in India, Armenia and Dubai, as well as presented papers at several international conferences. A firm believer in the importance of practical knowledge, during his student days, Dr. Fenn worked as a stuntman in a movie, as Santa in a store and worked as a door to door salesman in Mumbai. At XLRI, he designed and delivered training programs for some of India’s blue chip companies. Presently based out of Kerala, he provides assistance to SMEs who are looking to grow to the next level. He is teaching ‘Foundations of Leadership’ and ‘Ethics’ at the National Rail and Transportation Institute.
Dr. Mohan is an Associate Professor (Supply Chain, Operations, Risk Management) at the Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. She holds a PhD, Operations Research, Indian Statistical Institute, India (2002); M.Phil, Operations Research, University of Hyderabad, India (1992); M.Sc, Statistics and Operations Research, University of Hyderabad, India (1991); and, B.Sc, Mathematics, Physics and Electronics, Osmania University, India (1989). Her research interest includes Quantitative Models in Supply Chain Management, Combinatorial Optimization, and Mathematical Programming. At the NRTI, Dr. Mohan is teaching ‘Dynamics of Transportation System’ and ‘Data Analytics and Representation’.
Mr. Banerjee has over 44 years business experience, has held key roles at National and Global levels and has overseen complex project assignments across Government and Private Sectors.
He has held leadership roles and managed key techno-commercial responsibilities while working for organizations such as CMC, Digital Equipments, IBM, PwC, Polaris (North America) and Capgemini (North America) and Capgemini (India). He has been a faculty with NISG STeP programs since 2013 and has also been a course Director for the E-Governance Champions Program. He has been involved with training over 2100 Government officers across 22 States.He has also been Guest Faculty at TMTC Pune, IIM Bangalore and IIM Shillong. During the Capgemini assignment, he was associated with Capgemini University in Paris in developing programs and training over 200 Sales VPs / Senior Managers from Europe. He is working with the National Skill Development Corporation in Delhi and helping them manage their IT requirements and building a new Skill India Portal that will run all Skill Programs under Government of India and various States. He is teaching ‘Essentials of Transportation Technology’ at the National Rail and Transportation Institute.
Tushar has worked for global brands, with senior executives, in developing strategy, building businesses and delivering multi-million-dollar business transformation initiatives. He has an unique combination of skills including Actuarial, Six Sigma, Lean, MBA and Engineering. His experience spans strategy, operations, finance, risk management, engineering, nanotechnology, actuarial, analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning. Tushar is an Actuary from the Society of Actuaries, USA. He is also affiliated with the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries, UK. He is a certified Six Sigma trainer. Tushar holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology, Mangalore University. He has a Dual Master’s in Electrical Engineering & Telecommunications and Networking Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Further, he has a Master’s in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University where he was the recipient of Kellogg’s Four Pillar Award for Intellectual Depth. At NRTI, Mr. Jaruhar taught ‘Essentials of Business’ to the founding undergraduate batch.
